Introduction
CANTIENICA® - The Power Program is one element of CANTIENICA® Method for Body Shape & Posture. A therapeutically precise exercise system focused on improving flexibility, strength and shape of the total body. An exercise program that leaves you refreshed with a feeling of physical and mental well-being. CANTIENICA® - The Power Program is, however, far more than just exercise. It engages body and mind in order to perform economical, well coordinated and controlled movements. Specifically designed exercises strengthen the pelvic floor and improve the body alignment enabling the body to move freely. Perfect posture and physical harmony are achieved through three-dimensional movements physiological exercise in the true sense of the word. The awareness of the bodys intelligence has an immediate impact on the muscle apparatus. Clients move differently while they walk, sit or even lie down to relax. At work, when doing sports, sitting at the desk, working in the garden, on the golf course, to put it in a nutshell, it has an immediate impact on every facet of physical health. How CANTIENICA® Method for Body Shape & Posture was developed Benita Cantieni, aged 54, is the founder of CANTIENICA® Method for Body Shape & Posture. Being diagnosed with a severe Scoliosis, two Scheuermann growth disturbances, arthrosis in her hip joint and a fracture of the sacrum, she had to undergo regular therapy even in her youth and was excluded from sports. On top of that, she lived on painkillers. Forced by her own handicaps she started to research the human anatomy in order to get to the bottom of her physical challenges. 10 years later her formerly scoliotic spine is perfectly straight, she is painfree, her body loves to move, to engage in sports. The new posture made her grow 5 cm, and her tortured body changed its shape tremendously. Cantieni began to successfully train men and women. A former journalist and author Benita told her story in a book that became bestseller in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and finally founded her anatomy-based exercise regime CANTIENICA® Method for Body Shape & Posture. To this day, she has published 8 books and 3 videos in German. CANTIENICA® Method for Body Shape & Posture consists of 6 units or elements: CANTIENICA® Pelvic Floor Training CANTIENICA® The Power Program CANTIENICA® The Back Program CANTIENICA® Face Forming CANTIENICA® go! CANTIENICA® Coaching CANTIENICA® The Power Program training is now available in English. The Technique 50 specific exercises using the pelvic floor as the core stability not only strengthen the deepest layers of muscles, but also the whole muscle apparatus. Exercises start from a precise body position and are performed in small, three-dimensional movements. The Safety Our main concern is to offer clients a safe and pain-free workout. The regained physical strength and balance supports the body alignment and helps to correct and re-program bad posture. Because of closely supervised small groups, individual adjustments to various needs and current level of fitness CANTIENICA® The Power Program can be safely used by anyone. The exercise system is based on sound physical principles and injury prevention. The Benefit Men and women of all ages and levels of fitness will benefit from the classes. Only authorized and certified instructors may instruct others in either private sessions or small groups of 10 clients. The CANTIENICA® The Power Program instructor coaches clients hands on, with precise demonstration, instruction, description and wording. This occurs on a one-to-one basis with individualised care. The Training The program is aimed at people already engaged in the fitness industry (various health professionals, personal trainers, Yoga instructors). A certified instructor may teach CANTIENICA® The Power Program classes but may not certify others. Demonstration lesson and certification Duration 4 day crash course at the respective training centre or 3 day crash course at the respective training centre and 1 day follow-up at CANTIENICA LTD, in Zurich. Entry requirement is a self-study period of at least 4 weeks prior to the course based on the Manual given to participants. Course location and Schedule Presently, CANTIENICA LTD does not recruit certified instructors in any other English-speaking countries. However, should you be interested in organising classes in your home country we will gladly provide you with any information needed for a possible cooperation.
